Hi W.S.C. Members
The Wakatipu Ski Club asked NZSki about offering a program above the existing Level 6 and they have responded by creating a “Level 7” where skiers can “develop skills in all terrain, in all snow conditions and in all snow situations. This can range from natural off piste features, to park features, to gate training.” This program looks to be a great way to keep the skilled skiers in your family developing their abilities over the clubs 6 Sunday Lesson block. There is a minimum number needed before this program can proceed, so please advise of your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your details.
Remember bookings close for the 6 Sunday Lessons on 17/7/16.
Meals On Wheels Volunteers Needed
The Wakatipu Ski Club has a longstanding relationship with the local Meals On Wheels service where we are asked to provide drivers for a few weeks over winter as this is a season where our members are equipped and comfortable driving. This year our period is from 15th August – 2nd September.
All that is asked of you as a driver is to be at the Frankton hospital by 11.45am where you pick up a bag of warm meals and a list of addresses for either the Queenstown or Arrowtown run. You then follow the list and deliver the meals to the aged and infirmed recipients. Once delivered you drop the bag back to the hospital either that day or the next.
This is a valuable service for the elderly people we deliver to and without volunteer help it wouldn’t be able to operate.
If you are able to assist with one or more of the days over this period please email me on email@example.com by Sunday 17/7/16 with details of your preferred date(s) and run and I will add you to the list.
I await your response
